Formerly identified as Apply First Aid, this course will give you the skills and understanding required to provide first aid, CPR and managing casualty(s) and the incident in a variety of conditions comprising of in the home, workplace or within community settings until medical or other assistance arrives.

2 Days (face to face).
1 Day (face to face). (1)
1. (Must complete the online learning theory then attend a 1 day practical session.)


What will I learn?

The particular topics covered by the course include:
Legalities, responsibility and reporting
Assessment of the situation
Heart attack and chest pain
Bleeding and bandaging
Burns and scalds
Head injuries
Eye injuries
Sprains and strains

Do I need to have completed previous training?

There are no prerequisites.

How do I keep my qualifications current?

The recognised industry standard to maintain current competency for this course to be refreshed every 3 years with the CPR component refreshed every 12 months.


Students will be assessed through the demonstration of practical skills, participation in role plays, analysis of case studies and a written quiz.


On successful completion of this course, students will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for HLTAID003 Provide First Aid.
